About the book:
“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do, and what I should do, by the grace of God, I will do.”

Note from Cabell Brand:

This book is not a personal memoir.  I have tried to identify 6 major problems America faces today, and hopefully how you, the reader, and all of us can help solve them.

In the years that I have been planning this book, I have learned that each phase of my life has been enriched by multi-dimensional experiences, each drawing depth, perspective and insight from the others. Much has been said of the principle of thinking globally and acting locally. I have found this not only to be true, but with vision and determination, I realize that local successes may also release the forces of a perpetual cycle that in turn leads to improving global conditions.

I hope that those who read this book will come to appreciate, as I have, that each generation must contribute to our “more perfect union.”

My ultimate goal is simple: To exhort by example and challenge the current generation to begin thinking, planning and organizing to create, sustain and strengthen the American society, with the equal opportunity we want and expect our children, and their children, to inherit.
